I had about as pleasant of any experience as you could hope for at a DMV I suppose. Walked in...short line to get a number waited maybe 2 minutes. Proceeded to sit for approximately 10-12 minutes after filling out a short piece of paperwork. Once at desk...out issue was resolved in less then 5 minutes and we were out the door. Both employees we encountered were cheerful and polite. Thank you staff for doing your jobs so well. đź‘Ť
This is best manager of any DMV I have ever made.
He is so understanding and sacrificial.
I went for my road driving test today buy my documents were not complete so I had to go back and get the other documents to complete my file.
I arrived at almost 4pm and it was late for me to go to the road but I pleaded with the manager and explained my situation to him and he created provision for me and arranged with a driver to take me to the road at about 4:30pm for the road test.
Am so grateful to him for stepping in unfortunately I can't remember his name but he was an angel. I passed my road test today thanks to him.

I went on 2/13 and received unexpectedly great service surprisingly. The lady on ROW 7 was outstanding I APOLOGIZE didn't get her name but she made my experience so painless. I appreciated that great service should always be recognized.
Every time I call, it says they are still within operating hours, but I get referred to the contact center number. This is a computer answering service that does not give me the option I need. When I email the contact email online, it responds the next day asking me for more of my information when I just need an address to send something to. I'm not sure which of their addresses is best. This process is very discouraging and unlike my better past experiences with them. I live out of state and would go by if I could.
Went there today for a three minute long transaction. After waiting for over an hour, my number was finally called and I walked up to the counter. Another lady pushed me aside and went to the counter first, although the sheet did not have the appropriate number. However, the DMV employee decided to help her and left me standing there. When I complained that I had the number that was just called I was told that patience is a virtue. Thank you so much for saying things like that to tax paying customers.
To Joe Clearwater and your review…. I am the lady that stepped in front of you to ask a simple question. You were NEVER pushed aside. I had been there for almost 2 hours and that was my second trip of the day. I am sorry for your inconvenience… please keep in mind the next time you want to berate someone you don’t know what they might be going through… perhaps put your self in their shoes. I had just moved to South Carolina and my father had just passed away and being at the DMV was the last place that I wanted to be. The people at the DMV on Shop Road could not have been kinder and most helpful. They were wonderful every step of the way. They truly made me feel welcome to South Carolina. I am truly sorry that your three minute transaction took you maybe ten minutes. But as the wonderful person at the DMV said Patience is a Virtue! And Sir, I too am a tax paying customer. Was business as usual. My wait time was not long the receptionist was pleasant and polite. Mrs Jody was very professional and polite and her sense of humor was very pleasing.
When I arrived at the DMV location, it appeared that there were a lot of people ahead of me. Everything went efficiently, and I was finished within 45 minutes.
